Local author Ron Kinder will be signing copies of his latest book, Searching For Everything: The Transition, and donating $2 from every book sold to Operation Blackhawk. We will also be donating a percentage of beverage sales from that night.

Searching For Everything: The Transition is based on actual events that took place in the lives of not only the author, but many friends and family members.

During the Vietnam War, young men and women in Jasper County, Illinois faced the unrelenting fact that the war was not going away, and the transition from fun-loving high school graduates to dealing with war came on much too suddenly for many.

Many will still searching for everything, and some had found the transition to be very difficult. Sometimes the search ended in a dark place. Sometimes they found the light and found peace.

The cars, the music, the girls, and the parties weren't always the answer—but it was all part of the transition.
